Depth of field program for PalmV

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

Downloaded a trial version of a depth of field calculator for my PalmV (Focus +, www.bitwareoz.com) but am wondering if the information it provides is accurate. Here are a couple of examples:

90mm Based on COC of 30, Distance = 10’ Aperture Near Far 2 9’9” 10’3” 2.8 9’8” 10’4” 4 9’7” 10’6”

50mm Based on COC of 30, Distance = 10’ Aperture Near Far 2 9’4” 10’9” 2.8 9’1” 11’2” 4 8’9” 11’8”

Does this information look correct or can someone refer me to another source for comparison? Thanks.

Unfortunately, the table of information got screwed up. Does anyone know how fix it?

let me try
90mm Based on COC of 30, Distance = 10’
      Aperture Near Far
         2     9’9” 10’3”
         2.8   9’8” 10’4”
         4     9’7” 10’6”

50mm Based on COC of 30, Distance = 10’

Aperture Near Far 2 9’4” 10’9” 2.8 9’1” 11’2” 4 8’9” 11’8”

Try again

line 1 line 2

[/pre]

use < instead of [ and use > instead of ]
