Bonvin

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

There's a report on the IC Newc web site about Bonvin and how his one year loan has come to an end and his club, Boca Juniors want some money for him. Newcastle are stalling on a decision.

It seems to me that we should have given him a try in the first team to see if he really did show the promise that he would make it. Here we are with him on his wayback to Beunos Aires without us knowing if he can cut it on a decent football pitch instead of Kingston Park. we have had enough games this season which have been insignificant to give him a run out.

Brought to the club as a left winger and we now seem determined to turn him into a striker. Has Bobby had a really bad experience with a left winger in th past, he seems to hate them!!

Teamtwaddle says Boca Jnrs want about £1M. Bobby says he is a skillful player and "in an ideal world we would want to keep him" In other words we aint got the money to spend on young skillful players.

You're assessment is spot on DeB. We couldn't plan our way out of a paper bag.

It's like test driving a sports car on a shitty field then complaining it's too expensive and it doesn't handle to well in 12 inches of mud and the acceleration is poor.

Oh howay fellas. Be fair. YBR probably completely forgot he was only here for a year. Yet another spare peg in the changing room then.
