Does anyone know how many they made before stoping the production? I'm talking about the latest version they introduce around 1996 to 1999 (Huge guess here!).

Why would you say that? Perhaps I wrote something really stupid but I can't see it... Unless they didn't stop the production?

Well...mistake #1, Elmar instead of Elmarit. About mistake #2, the lens is still listed on the Leica Website so... can someone confirm that they have no intention of stoping the production. I was certain that I read somewhere that it wasn't selling very well and they where removing it from there catalog.
