Dwight Yorke

Sun newspaper reckons we are in the race with Chelsea for the signature of Dwight Yorke. Ferguson has lost patience with his errant drinking star and wants rid.

Would you sign him? The fee being touted is £9 million.

In the past I've always rated him, especially since he went to ManUre. However, I don't think he's as good as he was 2 seasons ago. If the fee was £5m then I think he'd be worth going for but not £9m. And if this drinking this is true do we really want that in our dressing room? He'd end up talking Dyer into another home video starring him, Dwight and Jordan! ;O)

Let Chelsea have him and we'll take Gudjohnson (sp?) off their hands instead...

Yorke must be 30 now, 9mil, no way 4 yes

Nope - don`t like him! (:o)

He's a natural goal scorer, was very average last season. Call it £7m and I'd seriously consider it.

Can the over 30s do it? Sherringham obviously. But it does seem rather variable and therefore a risk.

No way, too much baggage now, lost the plot, not entirely all his fault but his boozin/sexual exploits in Scotland with Latapy in tow has cost this important player for Hibs his Cup Final place ,not allowed with the official party, and a early exit from club, well done McLeish, gotta be cruel to be kind

Buff,

About McLeish. Rated very highly and has been touted for a couple of Premiership jobs in England. Has he the credentials to make it and in your opinion would we be better served getting a manager such as McLeish who in many ways is the Scottish equivalent of David O'Dreary?

Yeah I saw she's running for parliament in madchester....they can keep the effing nutbag....she wants to give plastic surgery to everyone who wants it and money to anyone who shags a foreign international footballer.....

-- Anonymous, May 24, 2001

She's going to end up like Lola Ferrari, dead at 30 dues to excessive plastic surgery!

Sounds like a good option. A Lola chassis with a Ferrari engine. Could take the world of sports car racing by storm.

I rate Big Eck (McLeish) de-builder , can spot a good un for his set up (Frank Sauzee - Zitelli etc), has a direct line to SAF but if needs be would ask tea - lady for advice. He will defintley go sometime in the future, where??

Renewed talk of West Ham wanting him, with an equally fresh rebuke from the Hibs Chairman.
