Carrick

Haven't seen any link on here regarding Carrick's statement about not wanting to join the Toon.

Apparently it would be a 'bad move' for him?!

I would have thought it would represent a good move for him, unless he's got somewhere better than West Ham lined up.

He'd have to wait 12 years to be assured of a starting place, probably a wise reading of the situation.

I also think it would be a bad move for him. In West Ham he is in the starting eleven, he wont be that in nufc.

He'd walk straight into our side as there is no-one capable of keeping him out of the team. Sad, Sad, Sad day when a young England International doesn't want to come to Newcastle because he won't get a game due to the experienced players.

Once Speed goes, there'll be a place for him.

Doesn't look like he wants it though Rik!

....doesn't fancy the looks of the treatment room. And as most players spend mosgt of their time in there, could you blame him?

So besides new training facilites, we need to build a new treatment room too?? Aiiieeeee. ;-)

If Carrick has said he doesn't want to come here, I presume he has been asked. If he has, and that is his answer then that's fine - no one's going to lose any sleep over it. He's not exactly ZZ.

If he doesn't want to play for Newcastle United, then **** him we'll find players who do. At least we know where we stand.

"Once Speed goes, there'll be a place for him" - I know this is possibly true but it must be time to question selecion policies if Speed actually got the nod over someone a Carrick's ability.

If Carrock has given such a statement & Clarky may be right & he has been asked, if so at least we are going for these players. Next on the list try Jody Morris (disillusioned at Chelsea,) or Joe Cole.

I have a suspicion he may be a little scared of playing for the toon. The demands on him would be great, compared to the relatively more cosy Manor of Upton Park. Carrick has put in a good season in a faltering team, he is settled there.

Why move?

Well if he has not got the burning desire to play for us then we don't want him.

I've got a mate who suupports West Ham and he rates Carrick way above Fat Boy Lampard. He says Carrick is absolute class.

For me he looked like the 20 year old Robert Lee we so desperately need.

I'd love him to sign

Doesn't his girlfriend work at SJP? Mebbe he's afraid of working a bit too close. One of those inter-office situations. ;-)

Easy - sack her - if you know what I mean ;-)

Maybe we shouldnt belive so much whats being said in the papers =) And even if he said it should be a bad move for him it could just be talk. I still think, in short term, it would be bad for him. And also I dont think West Ham will let him go. They'll sell Fat boy Lampard insteed, he really wants out.
