Tough start to the season!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Speed banned for three matches if he is still at the club.
Shearer looking like he'll miss the start to the season.
Dyer looking like he'll miss the start to the season, unless the board sell him.
Acuna looking like he'll miss the start to the season
Hopefully in some of these areas we will have signed replacements anyway!

We will be lucky to get a good start next year. I fear that we will flirt with relegation.

Blackburn and Fulham are good sides replacing two very poor ones.

But, if we get the promised FOUR quality players in ayt the start of the season, we could start very well. As for Blackburn and Fulham, I think they'll be mid table teams, with the likes of (the other promoted team, Derby, Everton, Southampton, Sunderland, Charlton, Leicester ,Boro and West ham beneath them.

How can we survive without Speed or Shearer or Dyer or Acuna, presumably by playing Villa first game

Hopefully by giving debuts to the FOUR new players!

Sol Campbell
Zenden from Barcelona
Michael Bridges
David Prutton

Hahaha DeB....so the silly season really has started!! :))

I hope we sign at least 3 if not 4 quality players cos otherwise we're REALLY gonna struggle next season....

Ah Gav you sense the sarcasm in my posting!

The above lot would cost about £20 million with Campbell for free, Zenden at about £9 million, Bridges at about £7 million and Prutton for £4million. Chuck in a free Robbie Elliott and I really am dreaming now!!!

Stop it DeB! You make me dream about those players and I dont want that when its not gonna happen. But maybe this part of the season is just dreams. What the h*ll. Go for Sol!! =)

Looks like he's staying at Spurs so I wouldn't get too excited about it.

It would be good to think that we have spoken to his representatives to see if there was any possibility of talks taking place. I don't think he'd leave London.

Zenden has recently started getting back into the Barcelona team and will probably stay there.

Bridges hasn't proved his fitness and Prutton will probably be out fo our price range!!

Robbie Elliot is a real possibility though!!! Massive signing!!
