Sir Alex Ferguson, KBE, MBE, BBC, ITV

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

We all by now have heard the controversy. Quick straw poll from the BBS should staighten this out. Question is, due to his (apparent) bad treatment at the hands of the MUFC board, and his already-made decision to pack it in next year, should MUFC or Fergie himself bite the bullet NOW and part company? From the board's PoV before he spends millions on players who may not fit in to the new manager's plans; from Fergie's PoV just because they've treated him badly.

A quick "stay" or "go"

Me - Out of respect only, I say keep your dignity Fergie and "Go".

Hmm. Should he stay or should he go, now? If he stays there will be trouble. If he goes there will be double. There's a definite clash going on. Me. I'm just an mildly amused onlooker.

If he really wants to carry on in management then he should go and look for a new challenge.

If he is intent on packing it in in a years time he should stay and make the best of what they give him.

Aberdeen hasn't been the same since he left. The man has a soft spot for them, and could possibly see a return to the wild wild north as a sort of homecoming. Kinda like YBR at NUFC. Let him go..... bring back Big Ron!!!!

Rik, he always looks to me as though he's just done that. :-)

Rik, that is one of the funniest things I've read in awhile! He certainly looked that way after Ferdinand scored on Saturday. :-)

That's a bit unfair on the pig isn't it?

Stay...buy Marcelino @ Hamilton for 15million. I for one, would think he was a great manager :-)

Not be a club , will manage a country , Broon always said he would step aside when someone btter comes along , more time with his horses *Rik he was not initially employed to be liked by opposition fans, I was at a football evening on Saturday night, £25 , 3 course, bottle on the table , interesting speakers including a ex Man Utd manager with 14 clubs in his bag!!!, interesting what you can pick up, and this guy never got on with Fergie, enuff about Man U,
