-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Afternoon all. I can only get the Hakems game on web cast too. I'm trying the Villa one now...

Any team news?

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Try http://www.avfc.co.uk/commentary/index.shtml and you can hear the Villa webcast. I'm off to cut the grass and listen on my headphones - I'll be back later.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

I had a 404 when I tried the magic link from the official, on Netscape. Works fine on IE though. Odd, eh? Still nils each, sounds boring enough thus far. Ginola being booed a lot.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Villa web cast has the Coventry match on?

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Glass, Dave - according to metro/magic.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

It's 1-0 for us Wonk, Stephen Glass.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Everton 1-0 Hakems!!!!

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Sorry, I was listening to Talk Squalk whilst sorting out the link, they never get it right.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Good work down right, Barton/Solano, x . missed by Cort, Glass buries at far post

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Sounds like David James is having a mare, keep at them lads. BTW they are wearing the new strips today.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

So am I pete.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

How does it look? ;O)

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Shearer said "the new strip is very comfortable". What do you think Gibbo?

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Amazing! GOALS at last.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Sunderland 2-0 down?

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

I'm watching Sky Sports Extra which for the first time ever is showing each goal as it goes in today. They're just showing Glass's, was a great cross by Nobby, Cort let it and Glass buried it on the volley...nice.

New strip looks ok!

Oh, they're just showing Everton's goal now, great free kick!

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

The strip - I like it, but I can't comment on how comfortable it is for playing footy in, as I'm a lazy oik.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

* For those who have not seen , please see Ken Dixon thread, respect

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Spurs 1-0 ManUre!

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Ditto Buff. A very sad day for the BBS.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

All of a sudden, this game seems unimportant.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

I know exactly what you mean Pete. I'm sat here stunned. I can't believe it.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Today's game should dedicated to Ken.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

I agree. Absolutely.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Yes, I'm completely gutted too. Ken's infectious humour and commitment will really be missed I'm sure by all of us. Thanks for the memories, Ken.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Its difficult for us all to judge what to do at this time but as there are a few of us BBs together I would think that Ken would like us to carry on posting. Can I suggest that during the half time interval we stop posting, collect our thoughts and offer a prayer to one of the good guys, then follow on the 2nd half.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

True Buff - hey we're two-nil up, and Ginola's just been booked.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Wise words Buff, I can't even get interested never mind excited about the game at the moment. However, as you said, Ken wouldn't have wanted the BBS to stop.

Back in the 2nd half...

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

None of the teams vying for 3rd place are winning , Liverpool struggling.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Liverpool, as a squad, must be knackered. But of the three, they are the side I'd most like to see get sneek third in the prem.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

I have just seen the news about ITK Ken Dixon. Very sad.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

What was all that about Ginola and Gregory? It sounds like he'll be available for free now; Why don't we just ask him to stay behind and not go back on the Villa bus and come on as a super-sub in the last half hour of our games next season?

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Very sad, how old was ITK?

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

2nd half about to start folks, the silence in memory of Ken will be appreciated, Howay the Lads do it for the man

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

On reflection it might be a good idea for someone to inform our friends back at the Strawberry, mobile nos.???

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Buff - I just rang Yelli. No doubt she will make a discreet announcement to someone - Clarky I suspect. This is just such a sad end to the season.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Full time 3-0. Thank you all for your company and I'll see you again in August. ITK you will be sadly missed. RIP

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

I just keep going back to the thread and hope it has disappeared or it is Rik or Gav on a wind up.

Sorry guys I do not believe that you would do that, but I'm sure you know what I mean. Having seen true as the writer and knowing Kens Ph number I know it is not a wind up.

That does not mean I have to accept it just yet.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Thank`s Galaxy considerate and thoughtful,Yelli will be fine

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

...kind of somber for probably our best perforance of the season, when all is said and done it all puts things into perspective, how we all wish we had one more chance to speak with ITK, to share in his love and passion for the greatest team in the land....

NUFC....

HOWAY Ken.......the heart may have broken but the spirit lives on!!!

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

Same here gus, I almost didn't click on 'that' thread, thinking it would / could be somewhat "neither here nor there".

As a fellow 'exile' you know how it feels to be away from hyem, ITK always kept in touch with us and his efforts to "spread the word" via THE book, were commedable.

Where's the book now, with you Kegsy, it must get back to Ken's family but, I'd wish to sign it first, albeit way too late?

Apologies folks, I feel obligated to copt this posting to the 'other' thread.

-- Anonymous, May 19, 2001

"commendable" and "copy"; it's 1am. here, I should be a 'happy chappy' (the Toon won) but I'm certainly not; another friend of mine has just been SOS airlifted out of Angola to South Africa then on to the U.K., he's got the large C. and his days are numbered.

:-(
