I hope the lads show their appreciation to Ginola today

We've given him a hard time on his returns since leaving but this game doesn't mean anything so I hope we let him know we appreciated him here.

Here Here. He may have said some things on leaving but he was great to watch.

He was great to watch for one season before he went off form.

His departing comments were not on and he deserves any booing he gets today.

Well Paul he certainly got his usual welcome from us today, and me thinks he's played his last game in a Villa shirt.

It would have been nice to have said goodbye to Daveed with a bit more class than we did today, even though he kinda brought it on himself.

Nevertheless, any lack of class on our behalf paled into insignificance compared his Manager's substitution of him 2 minutes from HT when he was bound to get the maximum treatment from the crowd, instead of quietly subbing him at HT.

IMO this move was designed entirely to humiliate the man in front of his former supporters. The man deserves better than that, and his reaction was entirely understandable. By this unforgivable action, Gregory showed himself to be gutter-snipe most people recognise him for. Tosser!

Daveed got some "local treatment" from the SJP crowd. But his treatment from that to$$er Gregory was diabolical. To sub him right before the h/t whistle was awful, and not deserved.

Although I think DG said some bad words against NUFC, and therefore to an extent, warranted the treatment of the crowd, he did not deserve the treatment from Gregory. At least that should scotch any rumours about Gregory being a future manager at SJP. Even if AV should offer him £100K pw, he should tell them where to stick it - right up Gregory's @rse.

I couldn't bring myself to boo David today and felt very sorry for him when Gergory insulted him by subbing him with only 2 mins of the first half left.

Taxi for Mr Ginola away from Villa Park this summer I think.

I hope you guy's weren't thinking I was on the "lets all boo Ginola" brigade....because I wasn't, I was sitting directly opposite to him when the Prince of Darkness decided to sub him and Daveed was not a happy bunny, and he was not playing that badly...his close control with the ball is still as good ,just he hasn't got the pace to go with it..and I felt he was the last player that villa should have taken off.

We had two men on him and he kept them pretty busy. The only nice thing I can say about Gregory is that I preferred his "riverboat gambler" outfit today to those fucking awful micro-shorts...
