The board have until June 9th

Season ticket renewal deadline is June 9th, just over three weeks away. If there's no action on the transfer front before then, the response may well be a little underwhelming.

Marvellous. They really should give people a bit longer.

If it means that they will sign a couple of excellent players to entice season ticket sales then I in agreement with the set date.

The earlier we can get the playes the better, they have a lot of work to do before the season starts and I don't want to wait till Xmas before a player settles in.

Besides, I'd know by now if I wanted a season ticket and could afford one.

I think the deadline for ST renewals should be delayed until the European transfer thing is sorted out.

they'll be off to the races that day

honest answers please,

Does your decision to watch your team in the flesh at least at home by buying a st hinge on what players the club buys before the date you pay for it?

At the end of the Dalglish season I said I would buy for the next season but if he was still plying the same old rubbish (year old rubbish) then I wouldn't be renewing. I meant it too, Ben wasn't going at that point and the football was crap, what was the point ?

I need to keep indoctrinating him, cos he was naughty when he was younger, so this year is a definite. If in a year's time we have finished 8th-16th and we are discussing if Speed/Barton/Lee/Shearer will finally be replaced by £50m worth of younger players then I can't see me being enticed back.

I've turned totally cycical about new players joining as I can't remember the last one to be an instant success, or even a medium term success. I just feel whoever we buy just won't change things around enough. For me the best new face this season has been Shola and he has only got games thro injuries to others.

of course, I'll make a different excuse for succumbing next year

Bugger me. Three weeks to raise £700. I'm gonna have to come out of retirement and start ram-raiding again.

After 35 years I'm a lost cause - I'll be there until The Grim Reaper finally puts me out of my misery. I've given up hoping or expecting NUFC to do that in a positive way.

So, they can count on my brass, yet again.

DB, it's not whether you want one or whether you can afford one - it's the dragging of money out of people's pockets so indecently soon after a crap season.
