Crazy bet.

Can you believe that anybody would bet 330 grand (that's £330,000 in case anybody hadn't twigged - look up supercilious :-))) on Tony Blair winning the next election at odds of 1 to 80 ?

He stands to win about 4.5 grand (that's £4,000 in case anybody hadn't twigged - look up supercilious again :-))) Has to be a p1ss take, but it's reported in today's Metro.

Which IMSO (look up supercilious yet again :-))) is quite good for a freebie rag.

And for any lurking makems, yes, me patter stinks, but what do you expect from a thick geordie, albeit native of what's now classed as part of (blech) makemland - you'd think some of that makem brilliance would have rubbed off by now, but when there's very little there to start with, there's no chance that could happen.

It'll never be a city as long as my rrrr points downwards.

Was I typing this in or was I reading it ?

This bliddy alzheimers, on top of everything else, which reminds me, can you believe that anybody would bet 330 grand (that's £330,000 in case anybody hadn't twigged - look up supercilious :-))) on Tony Blair winning the next election at odds of 1 to 80 ?

I guess it must be the size of the bet but you can get 1 to 20 on a labout majority. Nicer bet is Malcolm Rifkind to be next Conservative leader at 16/1

I was just looking at the William Hill site. They have odds on the 2001 Sports Personality winner. Who is E Macarthur, they are listed as evens favourite !!
