CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - A kitten must have used up several of its nine lives when it survived a 100-foot fall from a bridge in Texas. The kitten plunged to the ground from the Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge. Two firefighters in the bucket of a ladder truck tried to rescue the gray domestic longhair kitten from one of the bridge's support columns. But the eight-week-old kitten tried to make a leap for the bucket -- and missed. Down it fell, legs outstretched like a skydiver, until it landed on its belly on the ground below. The kitten staggered to its feet and spat out the gravel. A veterinarian says the cat hasn't a scratch -- except for a scrape on its nose. Firefighter Rudy Davila says he's given the cat to his 3-year-old daughter. They've named it "Thud."

"Thud"... funny...

Should have been "Splat", but then I guess he wouldn't have given it to his 3 year old daughter...
