Is it true?

Did all of our players really put 100% into todays match? Perhaps Bobby should threaten their futures more often and throw a nutty before each match. It's obviously done some good! :-)

Yep. They really did. Wozza, Aaron and the centre halves were outstanding. I thought Speed was shite but he was the exception.

I think Speed and Bassedas were both a bit naff.

As for next season what would a midfield of

Sikora ...... Lee ....... Carrick ........ Dyer

ne like?

When are we going to let Rob Lee retire? He deserves it.

Yeah we played well. I can't help feeling that it was a case of raising the game for the bigger team though.

The midfield was lost to Vieira who was their best by a mile, but the defence today was fantastic. O'Brien turning Parlour twice before playing it across through midfield was great stuff.

Cort and Gallacher up front were good as well. Cort may miss a few chances, but he wasn't far wide on a few occasions and he is always the man in the right place.

Barton had a good game which was somewhat refreshing, although he still looked a bit shaky at the back. It was only when Arsenal were on the back foot that he got forward and played some decent football. He wasn't man of the match though.

Stephen Glass is too low on confidence to make a big influence. He hit a decent volley near the end of the game, but his body language before and after the shot suggested that he wasn't really up for it.

Good atmosphere in the second half, patly down to the North East corner which was the source of the backlsah to Arsenal's irritating "Arsene Wenger's red army" moan.
