It's a bit too long winded to post on here, but does anyone have any comments on my assement of the season and players currently in the payroll?

I have removed some postings from this thread as they didn't help Rik's request very much

Don't really agree with the deletion of the postings but there you go! To Riks's report:

What 31 players have actually left or will be leaving the club. This intrigues me as I can only see about 20 that have gone or are going. The number of youth players with great potential please me, to think we have a team something like this for the reserve campaign next year is good for the club.

Karlese?*
McGuffie
G Caldwell
S Caldwell*
Bernard/Quinn*
Gavilan*
Green
Kerr
Bonvin
Lua-Lua*
Ameobi*
* denotes Premiership experience.

With the reduction in the squad there is plenty room for new additions and it is obvious that the aditions need to be made to the First Team, no more promising youngsters, we have enough of them. Quality proven players or nothing, if we don't get them I'd rather we give youth its chance.

Karelse played against Southampton in our annual defeat at the Dell under Gullitt - he was signed barely days (?) beforehand, and picked the ball out of the net 4 times, if memory serves. Don't think he could be particularly blamed for any of them, just the usual South coast crap.

Just got all the superKev e mails, and I'm all for them beeing wiped off this or any other thread. The kid is just offensive, and I'm sure MaBeth's or my son wouldn't want to read that kind of crap. Also think most maKems would be offended and embarassed by his postings.

Back to this thread. I can't see who the thirty one players are either, presumably they include mainly youngsters that have gone and will be going. Not sure if we'll be keeping the likes of McMahon, Beharall and McClen next season.

As for the others listed as current players. Last nights game dosen't really change my opinion on them. Warren Barton had an excellent game, but three or four decent performances each season isn't good enough. Also our central midfielders, Bassedas and Speed did little to convince me that they are the quality players that we need to push for a European place next season.
