I'm going to write him another letter. Does anyone want me to add their pawprints?

I don't.....I want to know what he plans on doing and I don't mean all the usual bullshit that's wheeled out....

If he's intent on feeding us crap then he can take the flack....

If you really think about all the problems the last season and this one he hasnt done that bad of a job. The players he bought is the mayor problem but they have also been troubled with injuries a lot.

Even if there is things he could have done better I still stand behind him because I dont see anything good coming out if we changed the manager again. If he totally screws up this summer and signs more cheap South Americans then I dont know, but until then I stand behind him.

He has my total support (for now).

Yup, Dougal. Please add mine and Fifties Fan's "pawprints"

If you can put from "Val and Alan in Hong Kong....and thanks for the autograph message from the Scottish Footballer of the Millenium Dinner", he might remember us !

Let's SUPPORT him ! I know I'm one of the 'middle-oldies" on here but the support bit seems so fragile and short-lived in recent years. INSTANT SUCCESS is the name of the game.

Real success, lasting success takes longer than a year or two to build. I always believed Geordies were utterly different to the rest of the country and understood.

How can you follow all these announcements about building for the future and then go straight out and take another S American on loan? The timing is either cretinous or deliberately inflammatory - take your pick.

Injuries to key players does not excuse everyone from trying to win football matches. The lack of effort this season has been scandalous. If people are on that pitch looking for excuses to lose then they should be substituted as soon as their heads go down. If that leaves us with 3 players at the end of the match then so be it. He says that we don't see how upset the players are and that they throw their shirts on the floor - not surprised at all, they don't mean anything to them.

I'm with NUFC.Com on this one for a change....It's good to see him angry but he's lost it if he thinks we've got no right to be upset with this season....

I would expect Bobby to publicly and passionately back his players and coaching staff, so can't say I'm surprised with his comments - if nothing else it's motivational and it's what we've all by complaining about largely - lack of motivation. What do we expect him to say? 'Yes, Wadsworth hasn't a clue I'm afraid and I won't be keeping him much longer if I can help it. Similarly the current backbone of the side - they're all past it and the Club needs a thorough clean out over the summer.' Then he could just sit back and watch the player value plummet as players and coaching staff repeatedly fail to turn up for any sort of training, strat feigning injuries and turn up on the pitch at matchdays as if it's the last place in the world they want to be.

If the man has to tell you what he has done for the club, you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves.

BR has produced miracles for your club after Gullit practically relegated it. You reward him with criticism because he can't resurrect the "Halcyon days" of Keegan on 10 million quid.

Best fans in the country, I think not.

OUCH, that hurt- because there is a lot of truth in what you say, LM3

As opposed to Sunderland fans who barrack Monkey Heed for getting you to within touching distance of a European place?

But it would be like me supporting Peter Reid in the face of my Mackem mate's concerns about him. "He has taken you as high as you've ever been, why are you disgruntled". Well they are disgruntked because they now accept they are a Premiership side and want to be a Premiership side in Europe and two years in a row he's nearly got them there then blown it. Luckily for them they were never 12 points clear and therefore won't have it rammed down their throats, but they were a clear second for a period and are now a dozen or so points behind the CL lot.

If I was a Sunderland fan I'd be happy for us to keep Robson .... old, not improving, can't beat Sunderland, sticking with old clapped out (sic) players.

Similarly I want Sunderland to keep Reid ... one dimensional football, poor foriegn buys, disgruntled star player, sell young players, sell players who commit minor disciplinary offences like shagging other players wife. Allegedly.

Yes, you can add me as well, Dougal. His outburst may have been a bit over the top, but can anyone under that kind fo pressure really be blamed for losing his rag at some point? Everyone at the club has to take a share of the blame for this season, but I do think we'd be in a bigger mess without him. Also still think he's the right man to get us out of it.....if his employers would give him support and not a bunch of excuses and nonsense. And I don't mean millions to buy Rivaldo or whoever. I mean for basic things like proper training facilities.

MacBeth, as a Sunderland fan I would love you to bring in some twat like Christian Gross or Roy Hodgson to waste what little money you have left.

We know NE fans are passionate but fickle. Like the "Reid-Out" brigade at SAFC, you are far too impatient for success. You must accept a period of mid-table consolidation and mediocrity while BR rebuilds the team. By all means keep on rocking the boat, sooner or later it will sink and we won't be hoying any life-belts after you.
