Do we ever learn?

Bobby Robson has suffered the latest blow to his injury-ravaged squad after admitting Clarence Acuna will not kick a ball again this season.

The Chilean international is suffering from the same type of injury which has ruled Alan Shearer out of the first-team reckoning since early March.

However, Robson hopes rest and recuperation will be the best cure for the tendinitis affecting Acuna's knee and the 25-year-old is unlikely to require an operation.

"We've known about the injury for a month now," admitted the Newcastle boss ahead of tonight's Premiership clash with Arsenal.

"Clarence has been resting in between games for some time now and he's just about been getting by.

I bet Shearer's injury started out with just needing a bit of rest between games and look at him now!

I remeber I read about Acunas injury some time ago and they said that he could go on playing because is wasnt goint to get worse if he did. They also said the injury was the same sort AS had. So if AS got worse when he played why shouldnt Acuna?? Omg, I really hope the media is twisting everything up so what we get to read is nowhere nere the truth about all these injuries.
