Is he going to say he's got no money for next season?

Furiously criticising the board for the way they run the club?
What lies ahead?

What's more to the point, who's available if the worst comes to the worst cos I can't see this lot making an offer that can't be refused, to a currently employed successful manager ?

Just thinking aloud, like.

If Robson was going to chuck it in I don't think he would have bothered with the outburst yesterday, however being the man that he is would he have left the club yesterday when the team has a game tonight? Similarly if he was going to make such a decision would he pre-empt it in his outburst and before the Villa game?

it crossed my mind he may chuck it, but he wont want to end on a downer will he?

I imagine he's been through a lot worse at Barcelona and he never threw the towel in then. I don't realistically expect him to do so this time.

But I can't see him being given the funds which will enable him to make any greater impact next season. Couple that with the lack of improvement in facilities and what really can he do to turn things round?

As much as I love YBR, he's getting on a bit, so he might not be able to take the stress of managment as much as he used to. Could it be time to offer Harry Rednapp a job?

Christ if people are starting to criticise Robson's signings they would have a field day with some of the dross Harry Redknapp come up with.

DB, I agree. There was a fantastic article in the Times on Sunday saying that the signing of Di Canio has eclipsed the fact that he's hit with money. He has spent 7 million o0f the Rio money and not a single one of the players he has bought has made a blind bit of difference. I think he'd be a disaster for the club personally.

Wasn't implying BR quitting might be imminent - if it is on the cards I think it'll be at least not before the start of the close season.

And to think, all it'll take to stop all this 'BR's lost it' crap will be one or two major signings.

Are we a fickle bunch or what, eh ?

Pitt Bill --- I would hardly describe the thousands of fans who continue to support a club which has not won the premiership since 1927 and the FA Cup since 195 as fickle. Long suffering may be a more appropriate epithet. So, Mr Robson is irate at the fans! A word of advice from someone of his generation -- the minute they become apathetic and don't care what happens at St James Park -- THEN it is time to start worrying! Besides he himself after recent games has been highly abusive at the performance of his players. He gets paid. How does he expect those who pay to feel? Mr Robson did an extremely crditable jobin turning round a doomed club -- but he has high standards and I am sure that he knows that irrespective of injuries the team has failed to live up to his as well as our expectations.
