Where mold grows quicker and why?

Is it true that bread mold grows quicker in dark warm moist conditions? If so why is this?

Actually, it grows quicker in the dark because of the fact that light dries it up. If there is no light, it will stay very moist,allowing mold to grow. You understand me, right? and then again if it dries, it will stay stale and start to become a rock. Either way, bread always gets all gross and un edible.
