DT PREDCTIONS COMP 37 v ARSENAL (home)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Sorry that this is so late being posted. I started work again as from today and haven't been on line before this evening.....I don't know, work getting in the way of football.....whatever next

Anyway, to get back to business. Unlike the Premier League, the competition at the top of the Predictions League COULD go all the way to the wire. We have two players (Gus and Geordie) battling it out at the top

I not saying who is first and who is second, but the two are seperated by 28 points with a possible thirty points to be won for two completely correct predictions, so it is all to play for.

So what is it to be versus the GOONERS. In the seven Premiershoip meeting at SJP, we have won four, lost two and drawn one, and the results have been:
93/94: W - 2-0
94/95: W - 1-0
95/96: W - 2-0
96/97: L - 1-2
97/98: L - 0-1
98/99: D - 1-1
99/00: W - 4-2

Come on then, last but one game, what's it to be, win lose draw, whats the score and who's gonna score.

Closing time 19:30BST - Tuesday 15th May.

Cheers and Good Luck

I'll go for a 2-1 win with Henry getting their goal first before Nobby and Dabs snatch the points for us.

Hmmmm well if it's not me at the top I demand a recount! I was in the lead and did get 3-0 Owen for a maximum 15 in the last game !! :-))

Anyho..... last time we played Arsenal they were in a run of fantastic form but were unable to stick the ball in the net. We turned up and duly obliged by allowing them to get back on track :-(( Sound familiar? They outplayed 'pool but couldn't score? Never mind.... bring on Newcastle United, the team you can rely on (if you are the opposition).

I desperately want us to win this one... we must not end up below Southampton!!!! Arsenal need a point to confirm second place.....

2-1 to Arsenal with that nice M. Henry to open the festivities

Well done Geordie, you have proved that a nice guy cannot finish on top!;o).

I have not picked Newcastle to lose a single match, I do not even think I picked a draw.

I refuse to accept that we go into any game and not think that we going to win. Maybe some of you should start supporting the makems, or if winning means that much to you join LR.

2-1 Cort.
