I couldn't agree more having spent most of last Friday evening until 11.30pm looking for our hound who disappeared into the bog after a pheasant.He wore a tag but it hadn't been updated with our new telephone number.Since this was the first & only time he had run off we didn't know whether he would return home or get totally lost or even drown in the bog.Ireland has a poor record of rehoming strays & approx.84% are put down within 5 days.
