Hi, I have recently reinstalled WinNt on my laptop, now I am trying to play a VCD over it but it gives error "Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported. (Error=80040265)". Can anyone help me out.

WinNT doesn't have built-in MPEG-1 MCI devices to play VCDs, unlike Win98SE, for instance. The only way to get it to play is to install an MPEG player program, like Creative Media Player that comes with SoundBlaster cards, etc.
