It would be helpful if I could get some opinions about Poe's poem "To My Mother". Thanks.

A nice, sentimental poem, important to note since it highlights Poe's relationship with Mrs. Clemm and her deceased daughter, Virginia. It shows the desperate void in his life since his wife's death. Since he values Virginia more than his soul's own life, so "Muddy", Mrs. Clemm is dearer than Poe's real mother who died when he was a toddler.

During his later, odd courtships it was paramount to provide for Muddy and she was always a needed refuge that he hated to leave on his travels.
