My son said Daddy* for the first time today. Gets you right there, doesn't it? From tiny thing needing rescusitation to reasoning being in 8 months. Not long now and he will be glaring at me accusingly and saying "Why didn't we get Champions League Final Tickets this year, Dad, they always seem to end up with the corporates?"

* It was actually more like "Da da da ad ada" dribble, drool, fart, but I knew what he meant.

"Da da da ad ada", you'd better copyright that lyric Soft One!

This gives you almost exactly 10 years Softie to figure out a cute answer to the immortal question "Dad, what's sodomy?"

My folks had us lot in the 60s and were in to answering all our questions as fully as possible. My eldest brother had asked where babies came from and received rather more knowledge than was necessary for a 5 year old. His version of events was: "So it's a bit like Mummy giving Daddy a piggy-back then."

Dad rates this right alongside staggering in after a party and being woken up by an earnest little face asking him, "What's a molecule, Dad?"

"It's very small son."

"Like an atom?"

"Ask your Mother."

Thanx Softie for putting things back in proper order! The best feeling is the first time he hits you with all his might....right in the crown jewels....brings tears to your eyes... really does......

With todays game being free, me in my wisdom have elected to take both my sons aged 5 & 2, what's the problem? The youngest is potty training so guess what I've to take to SJP.

Tony the potty bearer

Tell me Tony - you're just taking the, er, Mickey??

Had a good look around the East Stand for Tony Gozunda but didn't notice any 'water-carriers' at all!

It was the first time for months at SJP that I didn't get p****d off, come to think about it.
