85 f1.8 or 100 f2

Which focal length will be most useful for wedding photography? 85 f1.8 or 100 f2 ? I will also be getting the 28 f2.8 and 50 f1.4 . I know the the zoom 28-105 will be more convenient, but I like the image and the quality of the primes.

thanks........

Either one would be fine, depending on your personal preferences. I don't think anyone can give you a difinitive answer for what's best for you. The 100 f/2 costs more but is usually regarded as a slightly better lens. The 85 f/1.8 is very good though.

I personaly would prefer a 24mm, 35mm, and 85mm for weddings. But if you're going to get a 28mm and 50mm, the 100 f/2 seems like a better choice. But that's just me.

i have to agree with jim. it's all preference. i have the 85 1.8 and love it. what i did was i rented both, went out and shot 2 rolls thru each, compared, and decided that i would get the 85 1.8... i like it a little better, more natural of perspective.
