OK, technically this isn't a nature photo by the standards of this forum, as it's got the "hand of man" present (specifically, two hands that I can see, and I assume the pther person has hands as well). But it's your first post, so I'll go easy.

Can't tell for sure, but it appears you used slide film. Did you bracket your shots? I would lik to see less exposure of the sun so that the rest of the colors come out more. The trees and the figures will be silhouetted in any case, so I'd suggest reducing exposure by one stop or more.

Give you an example that definitely has the hand of man in it. I bracketed the heck out of this shot, and to me, this one showed just the right amount of color in the sky without losing the silhouette to the background.

The idea is good, but this one of the times I would use a colored filter.

I like the idea but I think there is to much dead space with the horizon almost in the middle of the frame.

...it's got the "hand of man" present... - Where is that Johnny Pinto guy these days?!

Neat idea, a bit too dark at this size (may look better bigger); too centered for my taste. Try shooting it again, but be sure to remove your subject, or the PSA police'll get ya...

Crop a slice off the bottom to balance with the top of the shot and more colour in the sky, heaps more colour, make it rich and over the top please. Cheers Aussie Brent.
