Our Religious Education Director and I are putting together some special theme Bible studies for the summer. Since we live in Montana and in the mountains we will be hiking in the forests to do a Bible Study on being stewards of God's Creation. And we will also have Adult and Youth Vacation Bible Study. I would love to hear about Bible Studies that you have enjoyed. I love all of you on this board. Joy in Christ!!

Back in the 80s I heard a tape series on spiritual warfare. It was a life changer. I have taught the same material in classes several times since and people have told me it was the best Sunday school series they ever heard. Spiritual warfare is a subject many Christians are ignorant of and it is so crucial to the victorious life. We let satan beat us up because we are ignorant. This series also helped me understand why things happen in the world and how to pray.

Pastor Denise...

I am a nature buff and enjoy the silence of the woods, there Spirit speaks to my heart. Often people think that dominion means "ruling" over animals, plants, etc. In the spirit sense, dominion means having a respect and controlling your physical desires to kill (sport) animals and destroy nature. Dominion is not over the animals/nature...it is over yourself.

I just finished a Bible study on the prophets. I had never really studied them before, and I enjoyed learning about the Israelite history, and the ways the prophets predicted Jesus and the end times. --Hannah

Brenda I wish you could come and visit Montana. It is breath taking. To hike into the mountains and sit my a creek to read the Bible is wonderful. We also have handicapped accessible trails for people with wheel chairs. Actually in a couple of weeks we will be having some of our services outdoors on a regular basis.

Thanks Pastor Denise...I'll take you up on the offer following my film. I am currently working (production coordinator) on the feature production of "Baby of the Family" a novel turned movie, written by Tina McElroy Ansa. Will keep this posted on the outcome. I look forward to your support. After completing this project, I'll need a vacation....

I have done so many Bible studies and have taught many also. I must admit that I cannot name just one that has benefitted me or those to whom I ministered to. However, in the spring and of 2000, my wife and I led a study with some of our college friends entitled "Asking God your hardest questions" based on a book I used in a seminary course by Loyd Olgivie,Chaplain of the US Senate. It was an amazing journey of spiritual and life changing studies. We saw many lives changed, souls saved, and students helped to overcome many things. The questions were straightforward and the studies in the Word of God simple enough for all to understand including myself. We are anticipating starting a study group with our YPD using the same book. It was an awesome experience.
