There's only so much analysis you can do or so many suggestions you can make to change things, at the end of the day it's obvious that it's out of our hands and we really need to see the club identifying the problems correctly and starting to work on rectifying them....

One of my biggest worries is the coaching side of things, we can keep bringing in new players but until we get our facilities, training and tactics up to scratch I despair of seeing any improvement....

Got a Cup Final with 2 proper sides this year and we should at least be praying for injuries to Arsenal players to boost our chances of European football next season but sadly the lads have already fucked all that up for us.

Saying that we managed an almost carnival atmosphere at the end of last season when we also had nothing to play for. A lot of that was down to the sincere hand-shaking and back-slapping between season ticket holders who weren't going to be seeing each other "next season". I'm sure that I would have found this season a bit easier to endure if I was still sat with that mob as we would have shared a frame of reference and sense of cameraderie that you can't strike up with different people every week. If I have to tell anyone else who everyone is again this season I think I'll cry.

Terminal depression all round I think Gav. A couple of us were trying to think back to what the highlight of the season was the other day.....personally it was Boro away that did it for me, I remember the optimism on this BB the following morning and can even recall posting something along the lines of 'God it's great to be a Newcastle supporter', that game aside I can't think of a game when we've genuinely outclassed the opposition. Given that we've played close to 50 games that says an awful lot about our plight.

and in hindsight Boro were pretty poor opposition

Best season I can remember for donkey's.

We did the double over Leeds which makes us one of the top sides in Europe. Why's everyone depressed?

Was looking at the league table this morning and noticed that Boro have only won 8 games all season and only 3 of those at home!!

That's some impressive string of results that Terry Vegetables has helped along.......NOT....

Just noticed as well that Harry Redknapp has quit WHam...

Whoa! That's a shock. Where's 'appy 'arry going now? Why did he leave?

The Boro game was the highlight of my season as well.

We all need a long break to recover from the last 3 months of depressing performances.

As for this BBS getting quiet?

Nothing to do with the nasty insults flying about the threads is it Gav?
