I hope we lose against Villa for two reasons.

1 It'll hopefully get Villa above the maKems, which would put Villa into Europe and keep the maKems out.

2 If Villa and Chelsea are into Europe, we might just sneak into the Inter toto, providing that we can get 3 points against Arsenal and that Spurs and Leicester have a bad few games, putting them behind us in the league.

I hate agreeing with you but I do.....I was thinking about it this morning.....can you imagine us beating Villa and helping the mackems into Europe, i'd be gutted....

If Taggart can play kids against Derby to hlpe Man City get relegated then we can do it against Villa....hmm hang on a sec, we'll probably win if we put the kids out! lets stick with our first team....

Myopic to say the least. If Sunderland get into Europe, and do fairly well then it will help the regional economy and put the North East on the Euromap again. Added to such realism, could anyone really bare to watch Villa in Europe? Gregory? The words nil and nil spring to mind, and for entertainment's sake, I'd much rather see the mackems. I also have a gut feeling that Sunderland deserve their European dreams more than Villa, as they have played better football this season.

Also, if we can't get into Europe save on the back of a 'helping' hand from Gregory, then I don't my team to be there - that's my emotive argument. In all case scenarios we should be aiming to prove that our club is bigger and better than his, even if we do know better.

For once I think I have to agree, we beat Villa (I never WANT us to lose to anyone), the Makems get into the EUFA Cup.....then we sit back and watch some backwater Finnish, Swedish, Turkish or Greek team kick the living sh!t out of the Monkey shagging Barber Tw@ts in some backwater cabbage patch that passes for a pitch.
