Yes, I'm up fer yer buying me a chinky PB!

Just remembered, I won't be able to make it after the Villa game - it's me grandsons 1st Birthday barbecue and I'm supposed to be deeing the bliddy barbecuing!

Really wish I could join you Pit Bill, but I don`t think I can `escape` so soon after my last jaunt. (:o(

We've been getting roasted all season so a mere barbecue shouldn't be a problem :-))

The intention was to include significant others as well, if desired, but basically go with the flow. I don't mind sorting out venue etc, but a few names would help cos I'm not that well up on the standards of the various Stowell St. eating houses.

A few suitable dates would help as well.

Looks like it's ye and me, PB. Who wants to have dinner with the auld gits?

If 'significant others' are being included I'll have to check with my Social Secretary when she finishes her shift.

Are we talking about the day of the Arse game or the Villa game. Neither Screach nor Jonno can make the Arse game but I will go for a Chinese with youse (assuming I'm invited).

The Friday night before the Villa game might be a good choice for our travellers, but I'll need to check with my Social Sec later.
I definitely won't be able to make the night of the Villa game.

As Dougal said, I can't make it for @rse but I will be there for the Villa weekend. Fri/Sat/Sun would be OK for me as I'm "working" in wor N'cl orifice on the Monday.

I would like to meet up for this, but am afraid that it would be considered too cliquey unless we hold it in Australia.

-- Anonymous, May 08, 2001

The Friday before the Villa game sounds like a good idea to me, so we'll curtail the fannying around over date and start into the fannying around for venue - suggestions please.

Softie, if we compromise and start in Bar Oz, will that put you in a more positive frame of mind ? :-))

Dougal,
Invites not necessary - if you fancy it, put your name down, simple as that hinny. :-)

Not that she would mind terribly, I just think it might be a bit too soon after my trip to Sydney for Mrs gus to allow me to travel.

I would like a rain check for a later meeting if possible.

Gus,
You could always bring Mrs Gus.

Does anyone feel another London Curry Neet coming on.... or is it just my gut rumbling....

-- Anonymous, May 08, 2001

Correct PB, however I did say it was too soon for her to let ME go, with, or without her. If she sees this she might want to travel over by her self!

Hmm nice idea Geordie! if someone else wants to do the organising then I'll be up for it....Anyone else interested?

-- Anonymous, May 08, 2001

Pit Bill,

Yes, I'll join you - after the Villa game? We've also got Hiro over from Oz that weekend.

Steph
The evening of the Friday just before the Villa game seems to be the concensus. I'll give it a few more days for the list to settle down, then try to sort out the ins and outs prior to making some booking enquiries.

A few restaurant names would still be appreciated.

Friday would be fine. Don't know any of the places on Stowell Street. The Happiness Inn on Percy Street is OK.

-- Anonymous, May 08, 2001

I'll only come if you all promise not to ignore me.

-- Anonymous, May 08, 2001

Well try tekkin' yer heed oot of the clouds then ;-)

-- Anonymous, May 08, 2001

So Dr. Bill doesn't have to work too hard, assuming he doesn't see enough of us lot match days and might not mind a bit of socialising.

-- Anonymous, May 09, 2001

I wouldn't ignore you Alan, but I'll not be going as I've got one of the bairns with me.

-- Anonymous, May 09, 2001

Sorry, only just seen this. Not seen the whole bbs for some days.

Put me down please!!

I presume from the remark about not having to work too hard that you don't want me to inspect the kitchens first then? I can do it, you know - there's a chapter in the diaries I'll never write called "Around Pristina Hospital with Mop and Bucket"...

What time's kickoff please? - I'll not be able to get into Toon too early.
