Some Clubs talk; others just get on with it.

There was a feature article in yesterday's Sunday Times about the launch of Leeds Utd's official Chinese-language web-site (lufc.com.hk).

It is now over 7 months since David Stonehouse personally assured me they were giving the highest priority to sorting out and realunching the still acutely embarrassing "nufc.co.uk".

While other Club's continue to march on ahead leaving us grovelling in their wake, both on and off the field, it seems all our lot can do is talk.

I'm sure there's a valid reason for the delay. Probably to do with the implememtation of the "double byte character set" need to represent the "Geordie dipthong". There's plenty of folks have done it with Chinese. I doubt if many have done it with Geordie.

Of course, it could just be symptomatic of the general management malaise at NUFC.

Of course, there are certain companies around who specialise in developing websites. SOme eben have a presence in the EPL. Perhaos Ciara can advise whether NTL are one of the better ones. I can only think of one other American company which has a TLO (er, sorry, three letter accronym) and does a splendid job in this area.

Actually, I just took a look at the Leeds site. I think wor Orificial one's as understandable as that!

Oh - BTW, I'll have a number 3, 8 and 22 please. Forget the fried rice.

Funny thing about NTL, even though it's an American company I've never heard of it over here until recently with the reports of Aohell trying to hook up with them to increase Aohell's Euro presence. Then again, there's so many ISP's and dotcoms over here, starting, going under, merging, getting bought out, it's difficult keeping up with them all.

I really do despair of NUFC ever doing the simple things right...like PR, training facilities, etc.
