A cheap team from the relegated lot.

Howey, Hadji, Carbone, Tompson

I think it's a step backwards to sign Howey. The other three candidates are far more interesting. A player like Carbone could certainly add some creativity in our squad, that goes for Hadji too. Thompson is a canny player, but maybe a little over the top? You forgot Bellamy hehe...... what about Shaun Wright Phillips, Dickov, Goater, Kennedy? Wright Phillips has a fercking big potential.

Howey (delib.) lads, Man City are not down yet!

Another good thing about Hadji....he chose to stay and help his team try to avoid relegation this weekend, instead of playing in Morrocco's WC qualifier.

Goater is a box player, we have one of them

Thompson is a solid player, Hadji? i think if he´d gone to Morrocco my cov mates may have tracked him down... Carbone? rotten apple

Sorry People but Thompson is a right winger and we certainly don't need another one of those on the books.

Hadji perhaps, because he coupl play on the left but he dissapears back to Africa more than Nobby does to Peru!

Carbone? rotten apple ?? playing for an unglamourous team he's been giving a full 110% I think geve the right encouragement.

Thompson isn't really a right winger - he isn't fast enough. He's a central m/f player who has tended to be played out of position with both Liverpool and Coventry.

He's a canny little player, but the fact that he hasn't been able to tie down his preferred position in m/f, even at Coventry, suggests to me he's not really good enough - a bit like Bassedas.

The Coventry Chairman in The Journal this morning was saying that they will sell either Kirkland or Hedman, and hope to get away with letting only another one or two players leave. Hadji's a decent player, but not I'm sure any of the others would improve our squad.

Not sure if any of the players from relegated sides would add much - we have enough solid plodders as it is, without adding to them.

I said it this time last season when we were linked with almost half of the Wombles, plus a few from Blackburn. If a player isn't good enough to keep his side in the EPL, then do we really want/need him? I'm yet to be convinced that Cort is worth £7M. Sure, his goals/game ratio is pretty good, but will he sustain it?

I actually think Hartson would be worth a punt.

I don't think the Irish pound would buy much in Wales?!

...where'd those italics come from, HELP?

;-(

This better, Gus? :-)

Well, ManCity are down now. Guess there's not many worth buying, considering how many of our old dross they've already got on the books. ;-)

Less, of the cheek young lass.

How could you confuse Bud and I when you KNOW I have this HTML all down pat?

-- Anonymous, May 08, 2001

"...all down pat.", cheeky git!

;-)

If Cort sustains that goals/games ratio next season we'll be able to sell him for about £25 million!!

Room there for him to calm down a bit and still be a great second striker. Of course we'll have Super Alan Shearer back next year, fit as ever! ;0(

doh! Sorry Bud and Gus...trying to post with dilated pupils, seeing double. If only it was from drink and not from being told I'm on my way to needing bifocals before I'm 40. ;-))
