Where can I get to download WinOnCD 3.8 PE, ENGLISH edition and not the other french or germen edition. I downloaded from some of the sites but it was not ENGLISH edition but some other language edition.

WinOnCD3.8 only has German help files but the interface can be in English. You can get a legit copy from softwarehouse.de. WinOnCD is made by CeQuadrat, which is now owned by Adaptec. Adaptec has put up a kitschy site of its own on the subject and this is Roxio.com; from what I infer on the site and from what I have been told, Adaptec would like English users to buy Easy CD Creator 5, and German users can buy WinOnCDPE3.8. Of course it's not that simple; we all know that, despite widespread use of Easy CD, WinOnCD is streets ahead in terms of features and stability. But because Adaptec now controls both, it is its prerogative not to release WinOnCD3.8 in any other language but German. That's just too bad for all of us; very fortunately, Nero 5.5 multilingual is now officially available, and is what I bought in a package version from softwarehouse.de.

There is a pdf file for WinOnCD 3.8 in English. This is the best I can do.

I e-mailed Roxio about 3.8 English and they told me that it had been released in USA briefly and then withdrawn and would not be supported in English. There must be some copies out there somewhere!! Laurie

If you download a german version, just edit the system.ini file. On the line for "EnableLangDlg=N" change N to Y. When you open the setup it will ask what version do you want to install. Select english. This worked with 80% of the ones I tried.
