There is a "training session" at Anne Basker Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. May 15 regarding "Wildfire Fighting Strategies".

This is being presented by the Josephine County Planning Commission, and will be looking at several aspects of an anticipated bad fire season, plus will continue the current work about "safe siting of dwellings", including vegetation management around your house, turnarounds for fire fighting equipment, and proposed new laws for road design to give firefighters adequate (some would say MORE than adequate) access to fight a fire on your property.
