IMPORTANT, ALL MAGES READ!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Defenders : One Thread

If you are under enemy spell, don't use your turns for heaven's sake. You will die in the end. Under such events, either dispel the spells away or message the GREEN mage assigned to your guild or message me! I'll cast serenity on you to get rid of the enemy spells.

However, should you be a blue mage, you can easily dispel the spell away.

I'd like to add something to your defense against multispells on you... depending on if you still have a reasonably strong force with you with a number of fortresses... you are the perfect eliminator against that person who spelled you. You just have to have another member weaken them so when you attack you don't have too much of a force to attack against. Last reset, I was in a guild war playing white. I had about 38 forts, with Doms, AAs, Unis. I hadn't been really involved with any of the fighting, so I wasn't ready for what I saw when I came home from work one day. I was spelled (Destroy Artifact, Steal Artifact.. all the damaging spells), Itemed (Rotten Food, Pipes of the Sewer, Thieve's Guild...), Pillaged and they tried softening me up with one mage just hitting me with a straight Red Dragon attack over and over again. I was maybe in the 400-500.. when I logged in, I was at 2100, with no gold, population and only 12 items. I copied the battle report and it was over 100k in length!! I asked for help from my fellow guild members and didn't get any help, so I sat on my mage for 5 days without taking a turn. I would get randomed while sitting but luckily I had my Doms and AAs resurrecting to keep me in the game without losing land once! Finally the mage who still had his spells on me was pushed up to around rank 4000... I was at about 2800 at the time. So I used Gate a couple times to get a quick force, and started pounding on him. I lost a few forts each attack, but I kept track if I would break or he would first. I managed to put him in protection (8000 rank with 12 forts) and break all his spells. To me, it was my greatest victory. He was a VERY good player, so he had enough fortresses to keep from dying, but I still managed to stay alive myself, after the complete assault I had to endure. So, as Lao says, do not take turns while under spells, get help, and wait it out. You might be able to do a considerable amount of damage on those who spell you, yourself!! :)
