I see Spurs are actively seeking to strengthen there central midfield for next season with the signings of Petit and Guardiola.

Meanwhile Newcastle rely on the ever faithful, yet ageing and injury prone Rob Lee, 31 year old Speed and two willing but hardly world beating South Americans.

Echo sentiments on here. Bobby call Douggies bluff. Demand the 50 million he shouted about and if its not forthcomming, quit.

I heard on the radio that Spurs expect to get Petit for £8 million Pete. That looks like a pretty good deal to me.

I expect the Toon to spend £15-20 million this close season Galaxy, on 3-4 players. However, I fully agree with Pete - if the Board were to mess him around on this I would want him to walk out for the sake of himself, but also for the fans. I wouldn't want him to preside over our relegation in his last full season, and in those particular circumstances, I would want him to expose H&S for the charlatans most of us already believe them to be.

You`re quite right Clarky. Much as I want him to stay, I want him to stay and be successful. At least there would be some dignity in leaving by way of a protest.......but let`s hope it doesn`t come to that.(:o)
