Negatory (no). The extended rear of the lens partially blocks the meter eye (just as it does on the M6) resulting in a bad light reading, which causes a miscalculation of the shutter speed. You'll get an overexposure of about 2 stops, depending on the lighting situation. However, you can use the lens if you ignore the meter and use manual shutter speeds.
