Oklahoma and Texas in for some rough weather (6:55pm cst)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Current News : One Thread

Two years and 1 day after the massive F5 came blowing past, we are in for some more severe weather. Earlier, there was a tornado in Oklahoma, but I don't think it was large. The local TV is tracking the storms and they're headed my way. :(

Just woke up a few minutes ago. Checked the OK link and saw you had a warning in OKCity, Sheeps. Thinking of you, hope your connection stays up :)

WOW!

There were at least 5 small tornados in the southwestern part of Oklahoma, some slight damage that I know of at the moment. It then got to dark for the storm trackers to tell if others were on the ground.

My sirens went off, so I grabbed my son and we huddled in the hall until they went off. I was on the computer typing in an update about 5 minutes after the 'bad' part passed, when BOOM! A huge flash of lightening and the longest thunder I think I have ever heard. Lights went off for about 30 seconds. I was going around trying to unplug items when BOOM again. Power was lost from about 8:30-8:45 last night until sometime in the very early morning hours this morning.

It appears that hubby's computer may not have made it. It is either that or the monitor didn't. He's gonna be pissed that his SETI isn't running. LOL!

We're supposed to get more, possibly more severe tonight!
