'Yard rage' leads to bombing

CALMET CITY, Ill. - Authorities say a tiff between neighbors escalated into a bombing in Illinois.

Police say a Calumet City man was angry about a neighbor repeatedly driving on his lawn -- so he allegedly set off an explosive as she drove by.

He's accused of detonating the small bomb on his lawn about 10:30 Tuesday night, when the neighbor made a U-turn in front of his home. The woman wasn't hurt, but police say she was disoriented and shaken.

Robert Kiekenapp is charged with two counts of possession of an explosive device and two counts of unlawful gun possession. He's being held on 20-thousand dollars bail and a judge has ordered him to get a psychological evaluation.
