People!

TINA!

What?

Is Colby a moron or did he have a flash of altruism?

Buuut, I heard on the radio this a.m. that Tina comes from money. BIG money and that if it had come out she never would've won. And that's probably why she said that she's so happy because SHE can finally finacially contribute. Probably because she never had before.

Answers

And look at that - I misspelled my own name.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Tiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnaaaaa!

Can you even believe? Vince Chao and I were just astounded. We totally thought Colby was going to win.

In search engine news, I got my first crazy hit: dirty + ass + shit. It doesn't get any better than that, people.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

I'm just scared to know what entry that linked to.

I know! Tina! I just don't get why Colby did that. And I had no idea who Jerri would vote for, I mean even if she is bitter at Colby, Tina stabbed her too.

Did you watch the post-show? How much do I love it that even Bryant Gumbel slammed Jerri!

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

How much did I love it that they BOTH said they wouldn't give Jerri the money? Man, Elisabeth's question was the best one.

Did you think the whole "continuation" thing was sort of stupid? I did. And Tina and Colby looked totally different, like Colby with his double-chin and Tina with her Tammy Faye Makeup. I no like that! I wanted them gross and skinny when they won!

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Oh, and it's the Austin entry that comes up when you type "dirty ass shit" into Google. Go do it! It's pretty funny.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Mike, I can't believe you wrote all those nice things about me! I figured you'd write that I was this freaky girl who talked about herself a lot.

I am so tired. I got off the plane last night ant about cried. My feet. My poor feet. So much marble to walk on.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

And Mike said that I was tall! That's the best thing, evah.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

AB - yes, looooved that. But I loved it even more when Jerri told them they could clear their conscience and Tina totally turned it around on her. Heh. You know she was just looking for an apology. And still! At the after show, Jerri was all - I would've kissed him anyway blah blah. Gross. Go home. Someone told me she and Jeff Probst are dating. What?

Tina looked scary. Like she'd gotten a face lift. And Colby's shorts didn't fit.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Gross! If she and Peachy are dating, I will puke. I hope it's not true.

I loooooved how Tina turned it around on her--it was perfect, because Jerri was trying to make the whole thing all about her, of course, and it didn't work. Woo!

Well, Susan can attend the graduation mass, but not graduation. They can't take their finals with their class, and Cassie can't run in state.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

What?! What about prom? Can they go back to class?

What's your mom going to do?

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

No prom, no class.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

By the way, Joh, if you want to write a letter to the Times-Picayune and the school, feel free.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Well, so all they gave them was graduation mass? What?!

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Because my parents argued the essential wrongs of not letting the girls attend mass. It's a Catholic school, after all.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Oh, I WILL. Give me the addresses.

So, your mom is going to the paper? Good.

Do you know if Susan got the flowers? They should've been delivered yesterday afternoon.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

This is interesting:

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Joh, you can send a letter to letters@timespicayune.com. Thay asked that we keep all letters to about 200 words.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

That makes me want to cry.

I know what I want to say, but is there anything important you or your family feel I should mention?

I'll send it to you first.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Oh - I don't think they received any flowers yet.

I'm writing a letter right now.

Hmmm, where are our Texas friends?

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

I just emailed it to you. I didn't really know what to say.

Well they for SURE should've gotten the flowers by now.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

I'm here, y'all. Tired as a rat.

Had a meeting in Dallas this morning. I wish I could have just gone home instead of trekking out here.

Look, it's Find Allison A Job in Atlanta Day, ok? I am going to go crazy if Chris and I have to stay on the two week rotation through the summer.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Yeah, Allison Lowe hasn't checked in all day. Perhaps she's busy getting ready for the Bermanator?

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

It's too damn hot to have to put up with a two week rotation.

Allison, did you ever talk to Vernae, or is that over?

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

I spoke too soon.

Is Chris just staying at UTSA until he finds something? What happens if one of you finds something and the other doesn't? Will you just go? What if I ask you another question?

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

I did not talk to Vernae, as she never did call me. Instead I sent her a copy of my resume and writing samples in the mail with a cover letter that said "I'm sorry we were not able to connect recently to speak about the position" or something like that, when I should have said "Vernae, you need to get your ass on the phone and call me."

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

And yeah, Chris will stay at UTSA until he finds a job. And I will go crazy here in Dallas.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Well, hopefully Vernae will come to her senses and gove you a call. She's a frizz-eak.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Meanwhile, I'm looking at everything else.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Well, one of you will find something soon and then you'll just go.

Did you get my response about the cheesiversary, Miss I Never Write Hannah Back and I Make Her Cry in Her Biscuits and Gravy?

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

I hate my L_L existence.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Sorry, I'm back.

Yes, I got your e-mail. I haven't written anyone back all day on anything because I am clazy busy, or pretending to be.

I went to the grocery store just now and got a frozen Healthy Choice pizza thing for lunch. They call it healthy because it tastes like ass on french bread.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

mmm, French ass.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

I'm drinking chocolate milk. What am I, 5?

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Good for you. Milk does the body good. I haven't had milk in... I don't even know how long it's been.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

I'm in such a good mood this afternoon.

Somthing bad's gonna happen.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

It's good that your in a good mood. Why the premonitions?

I wanna get engaaaaaaaaaaaaged. I wish that whining about it was appropriate.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

You know what whining will get you? A blood red diamond.

In retrospect, it was probably a big ole ruby, but I was convinced it was a blood red diamond. Dreams are weird.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Well, when you told me what you had dreamed, I pictured a ruby or a garnet. But you know, if your subconscious is telling you "blood red diamond," you'd best listen to it.

I wanna margarita. Wah.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Wha?

T, is surely is only a matter of time. Did Chris talk to your dad in Scobey? Or was he too distracted by Little Jimmy Dickens?

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

I think it had more to do with something I had to hide from you, even though I didn't want to, and in my mind what I was hiding was bad, even though it wasn't bad. (like I thought it was a red diamon, but it actually was a ruby.) But see, I'm not hiding anything from you.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Joh dreamt that Chris asked her to hide the ring and she peeked at it and it was a huge blood-red diamond. Very odd.

Allison - he dind't ask my dad because he didn't want to until he had the ring, lest my parents think he was a lazy, non-ring-buying jag.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

But when's he gonna ask? When will he see your dad again?

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

We'll see him weekend after next for Susan's non-graduation.

I don't wanna wait two weeks!

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Okay, y'all, I'm changing my URL to tgoestotown.diaryland.com.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

T - very good idea. Your traffic will probably triple. Of course, now I have to go change about a million links.

Dude next memorial day is still over a year away. Don't make me come over there and pinch you. Just enjoy him being your boyfriend because he won't be for much longer.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

T - how will you move all your archives over? Will you just link back?

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

I'l move them over little by little. For now, though, I'll link back.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Teri - your little thing about mike would've been a perfect segue to the story of how Shane said "you know, for a girl, you sure can pack it away."

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

I updated.

T, he's gonna ask you. Soon, even! Hooray! Be patient, said the person who is chomping at the bit to get another job and move across the country and wants it all to happen TOMORROW.

It's just that, y'all... I just don't know how much longer I can live in limbo. It took me this long to figure out that I want to be with the MOC, and now I can't be. And I hate it.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Joh, I know, but I didn't want too many stories in that entry. I'll reference it in a later entry.

Allison, I love The Meteor. A lot.

Being patient is the hardest thing to do. I always figure that If we know what we want to do, we may as well DO it, alraedy.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

But see, then you'll be dead. Half of the sweetest parts of life are all the in between times.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Well, folks, I'm out. Time for a drink. Maybe if y'all are real good, you'll get a Lucinda call tomorrow.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Bye T!

Y'all, my sweet friend M and his girlfriend have broken up, and I just KNEW this was gonna happen. And I'm so heartbrokenly mad I could spit.

Al - Is the MOC the one quitting!?!?!

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Y'all...

JoAnn sent Chris a "congrats on your master's, I'll fix you some bbq message" and he just wrote her back. I think I might die.

Dear Joann,

Thanks so much! It truly has been a remarkable year. Although I am quite proud and happy about receiving my Masters, meeting Allison far surpasses that achievement. She is an absolutely wonderful person and I am lucky to have met her.

And I will hold you to the promise of some BBQ! Al has often expounded on the sublime nature of your cooking skills, resulting in my going into fits of gastronomical desire. I'm sure once we have settled into Atlanta we will have plenty of opportunities to share meals.

Chris

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Oh, Lord no. The MOC wouldn't quit smoking if Michael Stipe himself called him up and asked him to.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

He just won a gamillion points.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Maybe Michael will, now that y'all are gonna be in Atlanta.

Eric said that when the 4 of us were together, we were like the 4 levels of smoking. You - total non. Me - only when drunk. Him - usually only socially, but often while driving or stressed. Chris - as soon as he wakes up. And then all day long.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Bye Allison. I hope y'all tear Dallas up right, and scar Berman for life.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

And I haaaaaaaaaaate it. I hate the "one last cigarette," especially, that he smokes before he goes to bed.

It's gross to me, the smoking. I don't like it that he's a JUNKIE for the Camel Lights.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Bye. You know we will.
