Come on then where is it!???

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Where's the 'full of bollocks' statement from Gary Speed, Warren Barton, Rob Lee or Alan Shearer (* delete as appropriate), stating how the team need to put up a good performance for the fans!

I haven't seen it yet but it must be due for publishing some time today. Maybe they've lost the original quotes and are having to make up some new ones for a change.

I think Wozza snuck it in to the end of the hollow apology for Tuesday. Something about how if they play like that on Saturday they'll be in for a hiding.

We are playing away to a side 7 places above us in the table and Ladbrokes have us at 10-1 to win the game. This is longer odds than you'd get on a 3rd division side winning

I suppose this is it!

Bobby Robson is promising Newcastle United will have a real go at Liverpool tomorrow. The Reds have won their last four Premiership games to maintain their dream of qualifying for the Champions League, and are still on course to pull off an amazing cup treble. But Robson knows there is no point in United going to Anfield and sitting back, hoping to snatch a draw.

And he vowed: "We have nothing to lose by having a go at Liverpool tomorrow.

"Yes, we are disappointed at dropping two points against Southampton on Tuesday.

"But it's no good us going there being dispirited or feeling any self- pity. Football is always different in the next game - tomorrow is another day and another game.

"And while I can accept our fans were disappointed after Tuesday night it is important that they stay with us, and I'm sure they will."

Bobby made them watch the whole game again, but chances are they'll only pick up better ways to play worse - like 'Don't even try to control then pass. Kill the ball then just leave it and amble away'.

And he vowed: "We have nothing to lose by having a go at Liverpool tomorrow."

Does that mean we are actually going to try to win a game instead of trying desperately not to lose? That should be a new experience for this team.

Nah, it just means Speed will have a go at Hamann instead of the ref. Or is that in addition to? ;-)

He meant nothing to win, surely.
