Hey in a table I saw recently people who work in England have fewer public holidays than most of the other major European Countries.

Hmm Elena, I guess we did =)

Gav,
If the kids haven't done it, the millenium wheel or whatever it's called, is well worth a go, and it's only a kick in the backside from the Dungeons, if my memory still has a modicum of retentivity - I mean, it is a week since I was there .

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Yup we've done the wheel Bill but thanks :)) we went there last time when we were supposed to be going to the Dungeon but couldn't get in cos of the queues....I've got advance tickets this time :))

I'm thinking of taking my children to Whitley Bay lighthouse, and as a real treat I'm gonna get them some ice cream from the Rendezvous Cafe on the way back.

Rik, took my cockney missus up the Lighthouse last Sunday - well impressed she was too. Hint: don't look down on your ascent, the combination of rickety stairs and 100ft drop is not good for the ticker. She compared the climb with that to the top of the Leazes - felt safer in the structure that was 104 year's old!

Off to see a lefty flick called bread and roses, Ken Loach apparently.

Drinking heavily in Heaton on saturday.

Tonight, sleep early cause of being up way too late last night watching the end of the latest Survivor series.

Saturday - Webcast in the morning, haircut and grocery shopping the afternoon, clean the apt, watch the Revolution tomorrow night(who WILL win this week. Possibly).

Sunday - cat sitting and generally being very lazy.

Friday, hang in front of comp / TV. Saturday, pretty much the same I think. Webcast in the afternoon if i dare. Sunday, move my stuff from old apartment to new.

Looks like a shity weekend for me if the lads cant cheer me up, and we all know that wont happend.

A few beers tonight to celebrate getting back safely from a 720 mile round trip on Britain's motorways. Ann Failed the morra to see us stuff 'pool. If that happens, significant (and I mean significant) ammounts of alcohol will be drunk. If we lose, I'll have to drown my sorrows. Probably cut the hedge and do some grass as well ;-)

Footy, in between the World Snooker Championship semi's & final on telly - all weekend, if I get my own way (highly doubtful!).
