US Loses Seat on UN Human Rights Commission

UNITED NATIONS, May 3 (May 3, 2001 1:45 p.m. EDT) - In a surprise vote by members of the United Nations Economic and Social Council Thursday, the United States lost its seat on the UN Human Rights Commission.

The United States polled last among the four candidates for three seats allocated to Western European and associated countries on the Geneva-based commission.

France obtained 52 votes from the 53 council members which took part, Austria received 41, Sweden 32 and the United States 29.

This is WONDERFUL...a real blessing in disguise. The UN is determined to steal our land, over-ride our Constitution and bring us down to the level of every small-time dictator and thug who run most of the third world countries.

Let us write our Congressmen and urge them to get us out of the UN while there is still time. We can't help others if we are in the same condition they are!
