Can Geologist Predict a Future Ice Age?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Introductory Geology, Oswego State : One Thread

Is it possible for geologists to predict when the next Ice Age will begin, and if so, will the effects of Global warming make those estimates less reliable?

In our book on page 349, it says that we can expect the earth to go back into a period of glaciation over the next 10,000 years. The global warming would just raise the sea level, but not make the estimates less reliable.
