I DESCRIBE THE PATH OF A KNIGHT LIDDEN TO DEATH BECAUSE OF THE SHADOW THIS KNIGHT IS ON THE SEARH FOR ELDORADO--IT IS NOT KNOWN IF ELDORADO EVER EXIXTED

This Eldorado poem is actually about the building of infrastructure in the history of early America. This gallant knight mentioned in the poem is only a symbol for he's not looking for 'real' gold. This poem was inspired by the California gold rush.

I couldn't agree more with Akmal Eky's opinion. If we read between the lines, then it would be clear that the gold itself is not the aim.

Elorado, elorado, where the gold lies that's where men will go.
