I don't know if the applications have been sent in but will you/have you renewed your season tickets?

Answers

Nope I've already decided that I'm not renewing my 2....

I'll be renewing mine. They'll have to put the "cherrypickers" prices up to cover the shortfall so it'll still be the cheapest option if you live locally.

However, I won't be buying a new strip until they sign some genuine talent. It's the only language the club understands. If they buy somebody good then get a strip with the name and number on so that they can sit down and do the maths.

Yes, can't help it, It's a hopeless addiction.

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

I'll be back next season as well :-(

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

hehe sounds like it's an addicts centre :)) the only reason i'm not renewing is cos I've hardly used them this season, been to about 5 home games and about 7 away games...it'd be cheaper for me to buy tickets for the matches rather than for the season....

However I would add that If the team had been better then I probably would've made more of an effort to go and would've definitely renewed next year...

'fraid so, though why I've bothered spending good money and driving a 400 mile round trip to watch that crap has me worried about my sanity !

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

Yep but I may dispense with aways next season unless summat big happens.

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

Yes. I like my seat, even if I only get to use it a few times a year. One of these years I'll get to use it for every match. :-)

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

Yes, I'll be reaching for the credit card and renewing. Last time I thought about giving it up, we won our first 11 games and went on to win the league - not that we're likely to repeat that feat, but surely it's got to be better next season?

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

Yes, but I'm not far away from begrudging the money.

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

Bloody typical, for the first time in my life I'm in a position to get a season ticket and everyone's dropping out!

Never mind, I'll be there next season regardless....and I can't wait!

Kats, at least you'll have another loony to share the 400 mile trip with next season, should make it slightly more interesting! ;O)

Yes, love my seat near the pitch where I can yell at the players!

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

yes - of course. But wor lass and yours truly will probably be sitting in splendid isolation in C row NW corner as all others in that row are giving up their STs (or so they said - leaving early during the Leicester game).
Welcome aboard Kennington Mag - enjoyed our conversation.

It took me six years to get mine, It's in a reasonable position so I'll be renewing. Not 100% sure about the kids seat though. Niether of my sons seem very keen to go anymore.

With softie on the new merchandise. I'll get a new one , probably an away shirt if we get some decent players in the summer.

Asked Buddy from work, 2 tickets , no way , joining golf section,

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

Sigh....what are we all like! :)) served up all this crap and not one of us wants to walk away as a protest, will we ever? I doubt it....

Talk about a captive market!

It's not really your average cross-section of fans on here though, is it? Most of us are interested enough in NUFC to risk a reprimand for surfing NUFC sites during working hours (maybe says more about us as employees than football fans) but also post and seek info in our own time and at our own expense. The dozens of people around me who leave as soon as we concede a goal, don't sing, don't come every week and seem more intent on buying poxy burgers and pints than watching the match are a different proposition.

In fact, for a group of fans who allegedly "know their football" there seem to be an extraordinary number who don't have any idea who half of our players are (granted that few probably ever heard of any of our recent signings before). You had to be pretty dedicated to find Communicata after it was ditched by the club, and positively masochistic to seek out HMS Greenspun (thanks again Dunc) so we'll most likely all be a bit schizo anyway.

Seasons not over yet. If we have 3 poor performances then I bet one or two will change their minds.

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

Yep.....renewing mine....we have a fans delegation meeting the club next week to finalise seat changes for Tier Two Commandos and the club has also put a "swop shop" for ST's on the official site.

PS...TTC is being changed to VSG (Vocal Support Group)....sounds less contentious :-)

Of course I will be renewing my ticket - my seat's got my name on it FCS! Not so sure about the 2nd ticket that I managed to get this season - the family haven't been all that keen, and given the quality of the far on display I can't really say I blame them. In addition the two seats are no together - I may well tell them I'll keep them both if they can offer us two good seats together.

I'm a lost cause; the wife and kids have got a little more sense.

Forgot to say - that's brilliant LR. Good luck with the VSG programme. It will be facinating to see how successful it is.

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

yeah i'll be renewing mine. Only wish it was at St James' Park rather than in Rotterdam West where my adopted Dutch side Sparta play. Heavily in debt and second bottom relegation is looking increasingly unavoidable. Serves me right for choosing a club wearing the same strip as the mackems I guess.

-- Anonymous, May 03, 2001

I'll be renewing.

FFS i'm even coming back from the other side of the world early to see the start of the new season...

hopelessly addicted...

I don't think we'll be able to wait and see what transpires over the summer before committing. I reckon the thud through the letterbox will be very soon after the end of the season, with the deadline well before we'll have any chance of knowing the outcome of any wheeling and dealing. May have to sign up and take a chance on rumours turning into done deals.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Interesting, but lame question. Like Rik I waited years for the opportunity, so I'll be there.

-- Anonymous, May 04, 2001

Aye.
