I wish schools would stop setting these photographically related projects if they're not going to supply the kids with the resources to find out the answers for themselves.

Is this a "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" question? Anyway, Sdherrin, go here for a more detailed answer: http://www.klt. co.jp/Nikon/LensGuide/index.html.

To magnify distance you would want to use the widest wide angle lens: then distances will appear to be greater than with a tele lens which shortens real world distances. Now if you spelled your question correctly and explained yourself better, you might get a much more sensible and coherent answer.

Do you want to bridge a wide distance? Then you would use a tele lens. Or magnify distance; i.e., make it appear greater than in reality? Then you use a wide angle lens. Normal lens keeps distances as we persceive them ...

I think Pete Andrews should settle down. Asking questions on the web shouldn't be a bad way to find answers, the web is a resource.
