i took my place last night in the george and dragon to watch the 'match'. The landlord had promised to play the toon so i bought a pint of bad beer. The game was just about to start when some germans wandered in and asked me when the bayern game would start. I told him that the pub was showing newcastle- soton. He wasn't best pleased. He loudly told his mates that a 'local game' would be on. He then pushed me in the back and asked me if i 'was liking' local football. He was really whingeing when the game started. He eventually went after he hunched that even though i was on my own i would defend my right to watch the match to the death. I was defiant. I mean christ this was the George and Dragon! I didn't liking to watch the toon last night but despite the crap quality i love it, so there bayern boys.

My one point (apart from the glaring) is that Warren should be sold. He was truly awful last night, no control, no vision, no positioning - his distribution was hump all night - Warren, thanks but i think you are past it, if indeed you were ever there. Also Quinn is too slow and i'm afraid appears a weak link at left back. Nice lad though.

Excuse me lads, but I'll have none of this German bashing. I'll have you know that one of my best friends is German, and he's a thouroughly decent blerk.

He tells me that Munich fans are a bit like Man U fans over here, half of them Glory hunters, that not many other footy fans like. So It's OK to call Bayern Munich fans, but lay off the rest of them.

As for Barton, who the hell would want to buy him?

Barton shouldn't be sold. He can be a reserve ball boy, ready to come on when we are winning o his wayward passes can waste time to our advantage.

Just a thought, do you think Warren would be better if he shaved his head? People suggested that maybe his hair doesn't help when heading, and makes him slower. I'm now starting to wonder if it might be true. I remember one season he had a flatter hairstyle.
