Anyone else get stuck on the metro last night due to technical faults at Gateshead? A whole hour stuck in a tunnel!

I grabbed some lads programme and read that, boy and am I glad I don't pay for one of those. You have to be desperate to read it all and I was! Cover to cover in 20 mins !

Didn't get home until after midnight thanks to a 40 minute wait for the train at St James. Had to try to round the cats up in a welcoming tone of voice whilst really wanting to kick the furry little b*stards. Baby kept me up half the night. Foul atmosphere at work (management power-struggle, heads will roll) but at least I have the memory of last night's football to treasure. Just thinking of our plucky lads battling for our European future, willing to die for us. Hearts bursting with pride to be able to wear that strip in front of 50,000. Breaking their little legs for the right to live up to all that expectation and we love them for it. I need caffeine.

It was all a Mackem conspiracy. I was driving back, and it took bliddy ages to get to Weshintun Sorvices. Some b@st@rds had put cones out making a 3 lane motorway in to a single lane. I mean, WTF other than a Mackem road contractor would do that just as SJP is pouring out. I wouldn't put it past them to cause a problem on the Metro at Gateshead too.

PS. I got in at 01:15. The M62 was full of cars with Geordies coming back from the match!

I dunno, I had a lovely evening last night, despite the football. On the way back to hers we shared a taxi with a couple from Boro. The blerk was very pissed, and he became angry when I suggested we drop him off at the Nationwide.
