Newcastle United are delighted to announce that, during the half time interval of the match with Southampton on 1 May, players from the Newcastle United Academy, who have won International honours this season, will take to the field at half time to give the supporters the opportunity to applaud their achievements. The players in question are:
Stephen Brennan - Right Back, Republic of Ireland Under 18
Chris Carr - Centre-Half, England Under 16
Michael Chopra - Centre Forward, England Under17 & Under 18
Ross Gardner - Midfielder, England Under 15
Lewis Guy - Striker, England Under 15
Carl Heiniger - Midfielder, Northern Ireland Under 18
Joseph Kendrick - Left Back, Republic of Ireland Under 18
Neale McDermott - Midfielder, England Under 15
Richard Offiong - Striker, England Under 17
Damon Robson - Midfielder, England Under 17
The players will all be kitted-out in the their brand new black and white home strip, which the Magpies will proudly wear for the next two seasons.
In addition goalkeeper Carl Bell, who represented England Under 15s in 1999, will be with his Academy colleagues to model the new home goalkeepers shirt.

I know what you mean Softie, I was at the West Ham game and the left winger who played for the team in blue at the Gallowgate end looked a great little player!

It is good to see we have a few internationals in the youth set up. Given the number of clubs around we seem to have a fair representation at all levels. Congratulations to the coaching staff.
