Have there been any reports of sad losers loyal fans queuing up for the shop to open?

Ant and Dec, provided the entertainment, and those quueing recieved a FREE kit bag. Haven't got mine yet, but I'm tempted.

Just walked past Monument Mall club shop and it seemed no more busy than usual althought that might have been a lull. Sadly the really horny, I mean, really sportslike and professionla full length windos posters have Aaron have been obscured by Ant n bleeding Dec

Don't you watch ANT and DEC on a Saturday morning?

It's one of the best showas on the TV.

-- Anonymous, May 01, 2001

Yup they're class....shame one of them looks like he's escaped from the old TEFAL advert....

-- Anonymous, May 01, 2001

You mean they've taken down the Given posters?? *sob*

;-)

Not a patch on Soccer AM I'm afraid.

Anty and Decky, the flowerpot men, along with pals, is SOOOOOOOooooo funny. It's the highlight of my saturdays now that the toon are shite.

I've bought one. I just wanted to be one of the first sad losers. The last time I bought a strip, we finished second in the premier league, so hopefully, it's a good omen.

Oh here's fun. Try and be the first to guess which number I had printed on the back...one guess per person please.

Ant n' Dec are class - worth getting up for of a Saturday morning.

-- Anonymous, May 01, 2001

I go for 01

Pauline goes for 69

Ant and Dec are superb, so much so that I got Ben to sit through and episode of Morecambe and Wise the other night when I explained they were as good as Ant and Dec but 30 years ago

-- Anonymous, May 01, 2001

Gibbo

if you're going for a look a like then you could be the white Shola ?

-- Anonymous, May 01, 2001

Can I change my guess to number 5.

-- Anonymous, May 01, 2001

Any more takers before I tell you?

White shola?

-- Anonymous, May 01, 2001

What colour are the numbers, I wish we'd go back to a red on white square.

Ant & Dec - the new Tiswas, works on so mant levels. What kids show gets away with a SM TV backdrop & a member of steps in bondage gear?

-- Anonymous, May 01, 2001

The correct answer is 4. Right with you all on the Ant and Dec thingy. Fab.

-- Anonymous, May 02, 2001

Sorry, erm black.

-- Anonymous, May 02, 2001

Anyone not slightly concerned by the size of the NUFC badge on the new shirts? Bit small isn't it

-- Anonymous, May 02, 2001

Allison, they've removed the hateful Ant n Dec pics today so in fact, you get Shay x 2 as he's in one pic with Aarondite and another with Alan Shearer (who looks very hairy).

-- Anonymous, May 02, 2001

Got mine at a sports shop in Bill Quay for £34 but went to Dixons Sports in the MCentre for the minikit at £26 but with a free ball. I asked if they put the names on the back & they said "Just for today we are as a promotion" so I thought nice one I'll get 'TOM' put on for the youngest, twats charged me a tenner.

-- Anonymous, May 02, 2001

I'm not buying one until I see some players at newcastle worthy of emulating.

-- Anonymous, May 02, 2001

Yes rik, that's why i wanted number 4 on the back. Hopefully someone quality will be wearing that jersey next season.

-- Anonymous, May 02, 2001

What if , as rumoured on Team Twaddle ." Newcastle United ready to sign out of favour Gary Neville, in £10 million Dyer part exchange deal ". Surely he'll be number 4 next season.

-- Anonymous, May 02, 2001

Then I've just wasted fifty knicker. I mean.....as if.

-- Anonymous, May 02, 2001

Is it worth getting any players name and number on the back of shirts?

First it costs a tenner

Then , you have to find a player worthy

And after that the question of how long you want the shirt for comes into the equasion, as most of the players on the books next season will either get transfered or become out of favour as the season progresses. Even Shearer wouldn't be a safe bet, as he'll probably retire , the next time he gets an injury.

-- Anonymous, May 02, 2001

I've made a specialty out of getting the name and number of players who are about to leave us. My last 2 shirts had Ferguson(home) and Gallacher(away). Still wear em proudly, though. :-)

I was thinking of getting Shearer on my next one.... :-o

Speed and Barton are the safest bets for players that will still be around in 3 or 4 years time. They are so far up Robsons arse, they are in danger of dissapearing.

Mind you do you ever see any one with a 2 or 11 on their replica shirts? Wonder why not.
